Burns Too Bright, Lives Too Fast

Arthur had stumbled upon Merlin making a right idiot of himself again in the common room earlier. One long drag by the ears (alright, the shoulder, but the ears sounded better) later found them back in the room.

Arthur didn't know whether to laugh or throw a fit, so he did both at once. He was skilled in that fashion.

"Honestly, Merlin," he said, "Do you actively go out and find these opportunities to embarrass yourself, or do you find they just come naturally?"
